Our Vision
Founded by Hami Shelford, Mighty Mitts Boxing was established to provide a positive mentoring program for children aged 7 to 11 years who are experiencing school disengagement, at risk of offending or re-offending, have experienced trauma, or have been affected by domestic and family violence (DFV). The program also supports referrals from
local schools and not-for-profit community agencies.
Our mission is to offer children a safe, structured, and encouraging environment where they can build confidence, self-worth, and respect through non-contact boxing and positive
mentoring.

Our program supports children aged 7–11, especially those who:

For self, others, and the space around you

Learning to get up, not give up

Practising with focus and purpose

Lifting each other up

Aiming high and working hard to get there

Managing big feelings and finding calm under pressure
From our pilot program at PCYC Bundaberg, Mighty Mitts Boxing has now partnered with
the Y Schools Queensland - Bundaberg, continuing to mentor children through fundamental
boxing skills and life values.
The program is expanding into local schools after hours, with the goal of employing a Mighty
Mitts Youth Worker to deliver programs onsite during school hours.
Come see what your child can achieve with gloves on and support behind them. 💪
